The spoken-word performance by Dolores Chaplin
She belongs to a long lineage of artists. Dolores is the granddaughter of the actor, director, producer Charles Chaplin and
granddaughter of the play writer Eugene O’Neill.
Dolores trained in New York with Susan Batson and Bob McAndrew. Her film career started with director Wim Wenders in Until the end of the World’. In France, Dolores worked with directors such as Patrice Leconte, Emmanuel Mouret, Benoit Jacquot and Jean-Philippe Toussaint.
In 2009, she also appears in the feature The Counterfeiters’, best foreign film Academy Award Winner, directed by Stephan Ruzowitzky.
More recently, she worked with Gerard Depardieu in the latest episode of the sequel Asterix, directed by Laurent Tirard and appears in Olivier Assayas’ most recent film Something In The Air’, and in the short film Trois fragments de Fuir’ directed by Jean-Philippe Toussaint who was exhibited at Le Louvre Museum in Paris.
She just wrapped the shooting of her sister, Carmen Chaplin, first short film , Tryst In Paname’, in which she plays the main character with Bambou Gainsbourg as guest star.
